The Head and The Heart

What a great day so far! Currently I am sitting, no - lounging rather in the hillside apartment. The view is always incredible here, even on a cloudy day. Shannon and Eric's apartment is in the West Hills of Portland - where you will find the Mercedes, BMWs, and Audi's of the city. Specifically, this apartment overlooks Beaverton, a suburb of Portland, as well as some low mountains in the background.

I am still shopping for apartments, probably for somewhere in the Alphabet District...more on that on a later date...Back to what's happening today...during out lounge time we have been listening to great music and looking at old pictures, reminiscing our earlier college years, which some of those pictures are recently posted on facebook. I had long hair, and was pretty cool. Some of the great music we are listening to includes Walk Off The Earth, Band of Horses, and The Head and The Heart. The Head and the Heart are a band from Seattle, WA and they are quite incredible. They started up in 2009 and have already been touring across the country, and they will be coming to the Oregon Zoo in Portland this coming July! We are definitely getting tickets. This music video below is nearly one of my favorite and it really makes me think about my family and friends. It is titled Rivers and Roads.

Please enjoy the song, and know that I am thinking about you constantly! Once our lounging and reminiscing is through, we will be gearing up for a wild night going to a Timbers game - it's Portland premiere soccer team and evidently this city goes wild during the games. On top of it, it is Cinco de Mayo and again, Portland goes wild. I can't wait to post tomorrow and show pics of my weekend adventures.
